Sports Activities
Physical Education is valued by the school as a powerful tool for developing children’s self-esteem, social skills and ability. We aim to provide a balanced programme of gymnastics, dance, games, swimming and athletics appropriate to the age and stage of development of the children.
Our school gym is used by all of the children for various activities including gymnastics, music and movement, dance and mini-squash. Games, which include football, netball, hockey, ball skills, rounders, cricket and athletics, take place at the Nottingham Sports Ground, Lady Bay which has all weather pitches, grass pitches, tennis courts, netball court, athletics track and cricket nets. Swimming takes place at Beechdale Swimming Baths with all children from Year 1 to Year 6 receiving lessons from qualified teaching instructors. (Our Reception Class begin swimming lessons from the Summer Term). We also have tennis lessons in the nearby Nottingham Tennis Club and have introduced the younger children to Mini-Squash taken by Mr Gordon Hill, from the Nottingham Squash Rackets Club.

Swimming Gala
Towards the end of the Spring Term we hold our Annual Inter House Swimming Gala for all children from Year1 to Year 6 at Beechdale Baths . Parents and friends are most welcome to attend and support their children.
