The Nursery

At St. Joseph's Nursery we take children into our care from 12 months.

We always put the needs of the children first, striking a careful balance between care, play and learning.  Our philosophy is through learning and purposeful play.   Caring for children is our vocation as well as our business.  Everything at St. Joseph's has been planned aroung childrens needs, from our staff training to our planned programme of activities using the specific curriculum of the Early Years Foundation Stage.  All children within our nursery take part in extra curricular activities including library time, gym time, singing and instrument lessons with our music teacher, Mr Burton, assembly, apparatus, ICT lessons in our computer suite, french lessons with our French Teacher, Madame Viola and each nursery class goes out for a walk to local places of interest each week.

Our qualified chef provides a variety of home cooked meals with ingredients sourced from local farms, we do of course make provision for specific cultural and dietry needs.

All children are welcome regardless of race, religion or ability.

Above all, we do everything we can to make all children safe and happy from the moment they arrive.
